Approvals
LAVI is appropriately approved by the required state and federal government agencies to operate as a legally operating institution to offer programs, enroll students, and issue the Form I-20 for M-1 international students.
California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE)
LAVI’s approval to operate as a private postsecondary educational institution in the State of California is based on provisions of the California Private Postsecondary Education Act (CPPEA) of 2009. Approval to operate means compliance with state standards as set forth in this chapter. The Bureau does not endorse LAVI’s programs nor does Bureau approval mean that LAVI exceeds minimum standards an institution in full compliance with the BPPE. School Code: 1939591

Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP)
LAVI is Certified by SEVP as an M-1 institution. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) delegated the school certification process to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and ICE assigned this responsibility to its SEVP. SEVP Certification allows institutions to issue Forms I-20, “Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status,” to prospective international students after admitting them for a course of study.

Licensure
LAVI’s programs for professions that require licensure or certification are intended to prepare the student for California licensure and certification requirements. Admission into programs for professions that require licensure and certification does not guarantee that students will obtain a license or certificate. Licensure and certification requirements are set by agencies that are not controlled by or affiliated with LAVI and licensure and certification requirements can change at any time.
LAVI has not determined whether its programs meet other states’ educational or professional requirements for licensure and certification. Students planning to pursue licensure or certification in other states are responsible for determining whether, if they complete a LAVI program, they will meet their state’s requirements for licensure or certification.
Board of Pharmacy (BOP)
The Board of Pharmacy protects, promotes and advocates for the health and safety of Californians by pursuing the highest quality of pharmacist's care and the appropriate use of pharmaceuticals through education, communication, licensing, legislation, regulation and enforcement. LAVI’s Pharmacy Technician program is approved by the BOP for the Pharmacy Technician License.
California Department of Public Health (CDPH)
The California Department of Public Health is dedicated to optimizing the health and well-being of Californians. LAVI’s 100-hour Phlebotomy Technician program is approved by the CDPH for Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT I).
