This 650 hour 32 week certification program is a one of the fastest growing careers and the first step on your pathway to a success in the Medical Community. Our Pharmacy Technician program prepares students for practice as Pharmacy Technicians performing a wide variety of tasks in both retail and patient care facilities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Several paths exist to become a pharmacy tech.
Our students will develop skills in areas of pharmacy practice such as pharmaceutical terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, pharmacy record keeping, mixing intravenous solutions, and compounding of products to be dispensed. Special emphasis is on product knowledge and learning detailed information regarding drugs.

Graduates of the Pharmacy Technician program may expect to have careers that service the pharmacy needs of patients, as well as pharmaceutical companies engaged in the research and production of new medications. There are many opportunities for full- and part-time work in retail and hospital settings

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, employment of pharmacy technicians is expected to grow much faster than the average for all occupations through 2014 due to the increased pharmaceutical needs of a larger and older population, and to the greater use of medication.
