Medical Assistant

One of the leading occupational choices for both male and females is a career in the medical office. The role of a Medical Assistant has expanded dramatically as they have become the essential catalyst of a successful medical office. The duties of a Medical assistant can involve direct patient care including: charting of medical history, taking height, weight, pulse, respiration, temperature, preparing and administering injections, applying bandages and dressings and recording electrocardiograms.

  

On the other end of the spectrum, Medical Assistants will also be expected to perform administrative skills that are so valuable in any busy office. Responsibilities may include patient record maintenance, patient scheduling, insurance form processing and basic bookkeeping.
