Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a Japanese word that means "finger/thumb pressure." Cousin of Acupressure, well rooted in Chinese Medicine Philosophy, Shiatsu may seem for amateurs one form of Acupressure. Even do the roots are the same Shiatsu is a system of it’s own. Pressure is applied to points in the body using fingers, palms, elbows, arms, knees, and feet, working on the body's energetical system. Points are name Tsubos with the meaning accumulation of toxins and waste. Different techniques are used to relieve pain and release energy blockages.
